Intelligent Materials for Labeling Dentures in Forensic Dental Identification—A Pilot Study
نویسندگان
چکیده
(1) Background: the present study continues previous research on new marking techniques by using intelligent materials, NFC-tags (Near Field Communication tags) and Aerogel. They prevent loss of information over time for cadavers unknown identities in various stages destruction or living victims, as well missing persons who have lost are concealing their identity. (2) Methods: this consisted a technological an experimental stage. In stage, two different sizes were used: round (Ø 1 cm, 0.1 mm thickness, g weight) square (5/5/0.1 mm), both with 140 byte memory high-temperature resistance (at max. 200 °C), (by classical producing technology). After loading identification NFC-tags, they embedded (either alone protected Aerogel) sample dentures “sandwich technique” method, before polymerization process. materials exposed to damaging environments such liquid media (sea water, fresh alcohol 40%, HCl 0.2%) order test elements. The samples monitored tested four years. (3) Results: stored NFC tags was retrieved unaltered at end monitoring period, regardless damage caused denture material will provide innovative solution compared other labeling methods. (4) Conclusion: use acrylic provides additional reliability preserving time.

Background and Aim: Dental plaque and saliva have been considered as major reservoirs for Helicobacter pylori )Hp(. Dentists and their assistants are frequently exposed to saliva and dental plaque hence theoretically they are at risk for Hp infection. The aim of the present investigation was to compare the frequency of this microorganism between the general dentists and dental assistants with...

متن کاملAccuracy of impression materials for complete-arch fixed partial dentures.
The accuracy of 12 impression materials of six different types were studied by using complete-arch FPD impressions. Sixty impressions were made of a Columbia dentoform maxillary model with complete cast crown abutment preparations on the canines and the second molars. A one-piece casting was constructed by connecting the four individual castings made for the four abutment teeth. The master pros...
